THE MARRIAGE QUESTION

I must now ask each of you to answer the questions I shall address.

Daryl, Do you commit to give Debra your love and affection, now and forever, to be her best friend always and to value her opinion and understand that she is your equal in every sense; and will you respect the dignity of her person and defend her personal rights?

…………………………………………………………I will

THE MARRIAGE VOWS

Daryl and Debra, please join your hands as you share your vows with each other.

Daryl, you are first, repeat after me.

I ask those present to witness that I Daryl take you, Debra, to be my lifelong companion, to love and respect from this moment on no matter where life may take us through the best of times or the worst of times.   I will give you my love absolutely, give you strength when you have none, give you comfort when you need it most, encourage you to go farther and share with you all the laughter and love that comes our way.

       Debra, please repeat after me.

Daryl and Debra, you have just made your vows of love and faithfulness. The rings that you are about to give to each other will be everyday reminders of the vows that each of you have made to each other

Daryl please take this ring and, while you are placing in on Debra's finger, repeat after me:

With this ring as a promise of my love and faithfulness I take you Debra to be my wife and best friend.

Debra please take this ring and, while you are placing in on Daryl's finger, repeat after me:

With this ring as a promise of my love and faithfulness I take you Daryl to be my husband and best friend.

May these rings ever be reminders of this day and of the love and promises shared on this day.
